Commercial Contract Specialist (Part-Time)

At Intelligo, we’re passionate about payroll and we’re passionate about delivering a first class client experience. We develop and licence payroll and HR software and also process payrolls for some of the biggest and best companies in Ireland and the UK.

We are looking to recruit a part time Commercial Contract Specialist for twenty hours per week.  The individual needs to be extremely diligent and organised, providing expert knowledge to the Directors and Financial Controller.

The role will report into the Financial Controller.


Main Responsibilities

  • You will assist the sales team by managing the drafting, negotiation and execution  of client agreements
  • You will identify, manage, mitigate or reduce and report on key commercial / legal risks
  • You will be in a client facing role corresponding directly with clients and must represent the company and its values
  • Provide client contract management support, managing day-to-day client/commercial agreement queries and taking the lead on all relevant contract management activities. This will include liaising with sales and IT to direct and manage queries as appropriate
  • Identifying legal issues particularly GDPR relating to client and supplier agreements, you will take the lead to ensure resolution and where necessary engage with external legal counsel
  • You will manage, develop and maintain relationships to facilitate the effective delivery of legal advice and assistance
  • You will proactively contribute to the development of client agreement templates ensuring cohesion, consistency in clauses, and the general efficiency and effectiveness of agreements
  • You will ensure the client database compiling important contract features is maintained as a live environment as each agreement or amendment is signed
  • Manage all supplier contracts
  • You will ensure all clients and suppliers have valid agreements and a record is maintained to ensure compliance with our ISO27001 certification
  • Use Adobe for filing and signing agreements


Skills/ Experience

  • Commercially astute individual who has track record in negotiating and drafting contracts
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience dealing with contract matters, client legal & procurements departments, as well as with Sales department interaction.
  • Someone who can take ownership of delivering pre and post contracting activity
  • Demonstrable track record of applying sound commercial acumen in the translation of a financial deal into a contractual framework
  • Sound financial acumen and good understanding of contract pricing and differing pricing models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Manages well under pressure and tight deadlines. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and manage multiple caseloads
  • Excellent knowledge of law and the legal system in Ireland particularly GDPR
  • Industry Standard and/or Professional Body accreditations desirable [e.g. IACCM, ICM or MCIPS]
