We are looking for an experienced Business Development & Sales Manager for our cloud payroll solutions. This is a strategic role generating new revenue and long term customer relationships. The candidate will be responsible for large and complex high revenue corporate sales of cloud payroll software and related products across a variety of industry sectors. 

Reporting to head office in Ireland and SD Worx CCO in Belgium, the candidate will be required to identify and cultivate new prospects, prepare tenders and proposals, present Intelligo’s payroll solutions to new prospects in Ireland and close sales for long term sustainable customer relationships. 


  • Identify and qualify prospect’s payroll business and functional requirements
  • Generate sales leads through attendance at exhibitions, sales events and through general territory management
  • Following up and qualifying leads – converting into business opportunities and revenue
  • Respond to tenders in a timely and professional manner 
  • Develop new client relationships to drive new business sales revenue
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from lead generation through to RFI, proposal, presentation and finally to contract negotiation and conclusion
  • Present at Director level and maintain Director level relationships
  • Produce sales forecasts on a monthly basis and manage the sales pipeline
  • Achieve and exceed targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Deliver to agreed sales, profit and gross margin business plan and targets
  • Be accountable for business growth and accurate business forecasting
  • Refine and improve current go-to-market sales strategies by leveraging metrics and analysing trends in the business
  • Maintain a high level of client service and client relationships
  • Work closely with the internal marketing and digital team for sales pitches
  • Understand how large, complex software applications interact together and be adept at explaining technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Be an effective cross-functional partner to key business stakeholders 
  • Be aware of changing product trends, competition and economic indicators
  • Utilise sector knowledge and Enterprise IT solutions and services experience to generate opportunities
  • Adhere to the processes and procedures that support all activities relating to customer development and management, sales support and service delivery. Proactively identify and suggest improvements to existing methods


  • Past experience of high value corporate sales working with or selling HR or Payroll software and solutions.
  • Sales experience at Enterprise and Medium Enterprise Level to different industry sectors
  • A proven track record as a Business Development Manager/Sales Executive
  • Great pitch experience to C-Suite level
  • Have deep understanding of customer values, needs, and goals to present solutions solving customers problems
  • Excellent understanding of Cloud solutions and their delivery including how these can be positioned to Medium and Enterprise level customers
  • Proven sales ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills
  • An ability to engage, influence and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • An ability to work autonomously and take ownership of their own self development and drive for success
  • Self-motivation with high energy levels and strong results orientation
  • A true passion to ensure the continued successful growth of the business
  • Competent at navigating around different IT systems for managing the sales pipeline
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self starter and highly motivated
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to quickly create long term relationships
  • Great attitude – energetic and a strong desire to learn and succeed
