UPDATE FROM INTELLIGO
As the impact of COVID-19 continues to reverberate, our focus remains on caring for the health and safety of our staff and their families, supporting our customers and suppliers as everyone adapts to these challenging times.
We wish to assure you that, even during these challenging times, our dedicated Support and Payroll teams are fully operational and are standing by to assist you.
We are here for you and will remain so.
Intelligo’s Customer Support Department along with other members of the Payroll Software Developers Association (PSDA) have had daily calls, sometimes more than daily, with Revenue and DEASP since the middle of March. Initially, this was to discuss the practicalities of the COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment and Employer Refund scheme, subsequently replaced by the COVID-19 Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme. We have provided email communications to all our clients with the latest payroll information as a result of these updates.
These were augmented into a webinar on the 7th of April and 21st of April. Recordings of the webinar, along with Megapay ad-hoc reports, the deck used, examples and a copy of the Q&A have been forwarded to all senior payroll contacts and can be viewed below also. If you have not received this recording and would like to, please contact our Support Team. We will, of course, continue to keep all clients up to date on the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme.
April 29th Webinar
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) is a temporary scheme open to all UK employers for at least eight months, that started on 1st March 2020. It is designed to support employers whose operations have been severely affected by coronavirus (COVID-19). Employers can claim for 80% of furloughed employee's usual monthly wage costs (up to £2,500 a month) plus associated Employer NICs and minimum automatic enrolment employer pension contributions on that wage. The scheme is open to all UK employers that had created and started a PAYE payroll scheme on or before 19th March 2020.
Intelligo’s Customer Support Department worked with HMRC’s Software Developers Support Team (SDST) since the scheme was announced in late March. We recorded a webinar on 29th April to summarise the objectives of the scheme, along with how Megapay can assist in supporting our clients in making their claim to HMRC via ad-hoc reports.
Coronavirus Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme
HMRC has confirmed that the online service for eligible employers to use to reclaim Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) back will be available from 26 May 2020. HMRC has updated guidance on the topic to confirm that, from 26 May 2020, any businesses with less than 250 employees as of 28 February 2020 can use the online service to reclaim any SSP paid out for Covid-19-related absence for a maximum of 14 days per employee.
