BACKGROUND

Xtra-vision was founded in 1979 and is presently owned by an Irish investment group called Birchhall Investments. Xtra-vision is Ireland’s largest chain of DVD rental/retail stores. The company offers DVD, Blu-ray disc movies and games for both rental and retail. Also, they also sell music, CDs, Camera’s, DVD players and other consumer electronic items.  They currently employ 950 staff in Ireland and over 300 in Northern Ireland across 170 stores in both locations.
